Hamilton Moves

Welcome to Hamilton Moves - An integrated transport plan for a connected Regional Centre.

We want to explore and improve the way people move around our region and we need your help!

The management of our transport network is impacted by continuing growth in vehicle use, increased freight movement, the need for safety improvements and increasing environmental impacts.

Data gathered through this project will guide Council to identify areas of need across our road and transport network and determine future strategic projects to make our region more liveable.

So tell us, what you need to keep Hamilton moving. We want you to think about what would make your journey better. Would you ride into the CBD more if there were less trucks and more bike paths? Would you walk to work if there were better footpaths connections or maybe you avoid driving certain roads because they’re too dangerous or congested at peak times– we want to hear about it.

What to do...

  1. Tell us what you like, what you don't like or make a suggestion for our roads, footpath and bike tracks by dragging and dropping your marker and adding your comments in a pop out box
  2. Check out other people’s comments by clicking on their pins and like if you agree or dislike if you disagree,
  3. Come back later and check out if people have responded to your comments
  4. Tell your friends to get involved too!
  5. Keep an eye on Council's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/south... for further updates and to stay involved.
